We are living in a modernized corporate society, where it is not making any surprises that most of the consumers are getting inclined towards the chatbots using. Chatbots are everywhere now in the World – starting from the online bot assistant i.e., Corona from Microsoft to the messaging assistant i.e., the Slackbot, and our most commonly used home assistant, i.e., the Alexa from Amazon. As a definition, it can be said that the chatbots are nothing complicated, it is just a computer application, mainly used to streamline the interaction between the computer or the services and the individuals or the customers by automating certain tasks.

Chatbots are the greatest technological invention of the consumer application technology to date and taking place at almost digital places of the World. These chatbots are more trustworthy and more flexible utilized consumer applications technology by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. And due to this growing machine learning technologies, the chatbots are getting highly used in every company or business across the world. 

Generally, the simple chatbots are performing tasks on the basis of some rules that set and programmed by a human developer through the bot-building platform. But more advanced chatbots are using the technologies of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which help the bots to understand customer’s requests or queries, and then to make a personalized response to improve the interaction with the customer. Also by combining with the NLP or the Natural Language Processing technology, the chatbots are now more convenient with the interaction part by providing a more human-like experience to the customers.

The Application of the Chatbots:

The main application of these chatbots is to provide support and growth to the businesses or the corporates of every size and feature and also to their customers. By providing these, the chatbots are saving a lot of money of the businesses, and that is the main reason for which the adoption of the chatbots is getting increased in every business. For every kind of business, the chatbots are the most useful in terms of availability, engagement and customer satisfaction. They are programmed to handle more and more customer queries with more efficiency. Also, they are available for 24/7 work.
The chatbots are the best tool or the application for making short and convenient specific chats, like the routine tasks or the frequently asked questions. They can even be used to perform certain basic tasks like resetting the passwords etc. For this kind of repetitive and routine tasks, the chatbots are the more convenient and useful tool.

  • The chatbots can be a very good virtual as well as the personal assistants and can assist more efficiently and carefully to perform any tasks.
  • It has faster problem-solving skills than any of the human assistants.
  • It works 24/7, without having a break.

Limitations of the chatbots using:

Every tool or software has its limitations, together with the advantages. As well as, the chatbots also have limitations, are follows:

  • Being just a software system, the chatbots often get in trouble by not able to capture the full shade of the user conversations and do not understand the user’s intention fully. So it makes an error.
  • As by the rules set in a way the chatbots are like to focus on the conversation input first, not the customer or the people. Thus the customer may face a lack of attention, engagement, and as well as lack of connection with the assistants and hence making harm to the businesses.
  • The chatbots are limited only to their capabilities. They can not work or think beyond their capabilities that set to.
  • And last but not the least, the chatbots may seem so intelligent, but they are not as much as humans.

Why businesses should use Chatbots?

Every business should use chatbots as it has some basic importance which could rely on every business sector and corporation, as follows,

  • It enhances the customer experience by streamlining the interactions between the customer and the services, together with human-like assistance.
  • Thus, it opens the new gate of opportunities to the companies by engaging more customers to it and upgrading the businesses.
  • It reduces the cost and times of the businesses and also performs tasks for the corporates by utilizing human interactions in a more efficient way.
